Gath Management has a fully-fledged Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) department.
The staff comprise of Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and Structural engineers and a GIS expert.


DRAUGHTING
We can offer draughting service at very competitive rates for all sorts of draughting work may it be engineering drawings or design of posters and adverts. Gath Management is a one-stop solution for all your Draughting needs.
We also offer digitizing services. Our services are offered at very competitive rates and are proportionally reduced depending on the number of drawings being worked on.

SCANNING AND CONVERSION SERVICES
Drawing with new technology: With new technological advancements in data storage and retrieval, it has never been easier to archive drawings. Most firms do not usually have a problem with new drawing creation with their current CAD solution, but are paralyzed by the inability to easily access and modify their existing paper drawings. Added to this, is the regular need to work with outside suppliers
(perhaps for smaller components etc) who may also be only able to offer paper drawings of their products.

The easiest way of doing this is to use a large format scanner, and then use raster editing or raster to vector conversion software e.g.Autodesk Raster Design for further edits. We have facilities for both large format (up to AO size paper) scanning of drawing and documents both in color and black and white. The services are offered at very competitive rates.

GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION SYSTEMS (GIS)

GIS is a special-purpose digital database in which spatially referenced data is stored in a common coordinate system.
A GIS enables:
• Data input, from hard copy maps, aerial photos, satellites, surveys, and other sources
• Data storage, retrieval, and query
• Data transformation, analysis, and modeling, including spatial statistics
• Data reporting, such as maps, reports, and plans

GIS provide powerful tools for addressing geographical and environmental issues by enabling integration of data from different sources and in different formats and through appropriate query and analysis new datasets can be generated. Real examples of GIS application include finding shortest routes in a road network, performing land suitability mapping and establishing the relationship between incidence of disease and geology of an area among others. The ability to use Remote Sensing data for GIS further enhances the usefulness of the technology because accurate and up-to-date data can be used for analysis and representation.

Gath offers two types of GIS training:
a) Introductory Training- In this training, the trainee is introduced
to the concepts of GIS form scratch and these built on to a level
of application.
