Higher resolution 300 dpi scanning is often a requirement when converting scanned images into text (OCR or Optical Character Recognition).
High-speed CCD image sensors coupled with advanced image processing circuitry provide scanning speeds up to 260 images per minute in Black&White, Greyscale and Colour even at 300 dpi.

Less document handling required
With the ability to scan 11 lb to 56 lb pages of various sizes all in the same batch, the fi-6800 reduces the need for pre-sorting in a production environment. Also, the fi-6800's automatic stacker places documents neatly onto the output tray keeping post-scan document handling at a minimum.

Customizable ultrasonic multi-feed sensors
The fi-6800 is equipped with 3 ultrasonic multi-feed sensors that detect whenever 2 or more sheets are fed simultaneously. These sensors can be customized to allow the feeding of attachments such as sticky notes, labels and photographs without triggering false multi-feed errors.

Advanced imaging processing built-in
Advanced VRS functions such as Automatic colour detection, automatic page orientation and colour saturation are processed by the fi-6800's CGA board. Performing these tasks inside the scanner rather than through software offloads processing from your computer and results in faster real-life throughputs.

Automatic Image Quality Checker
This ScandAll Pro function detects image irregularities such as folds or tears and highlights those pages in a preview window. Automatic Imaging Quality Checker allows the scanner operator to quickly assess if any documents require further review.

Advanced paper movement monitoring allows the fi-6800 to tackle feed problems before they happen — protecting your documents from damage.

Maintenance made easy
Newly designed feed rollers resist the build-up of residue resulting in less routine maintenance even when scanning NCR (carbonless) paper . The fi-6800's automatic feeder opens wide to provide easy access to all feed rollers during routine cleanings. Reducing cleaning times and frequency increases productivity.
